Helping Hands of Georgetown

Our church is involved in many ways with Helping Hands. We support them through fundraising and involve ourselves in many of their outreach ministries. Our Ruling Elder, David Tisdale sits on the Advisory Council for the Andrews area.

Helping Hands of Georgetown, Inc. was established in 1989 through the extraordinary vision of founding board members representing 17 Covenant Churches in Georgetown County, South Carolina, who felt they could better help residents by supporting one organization that would exist to assess and determine an adequate response to the many needs that arise in this primarily rural and poverty ridden area of South Carolina.

For 29 years, Helping Hands has been a vital resource to Georgetown County’s residents faced with poverty and crisis, providing assistance and opportunities for change.  Our ability to help is supported by donations from individuals, churches, civic clubs and businesses, and through grants from public and private foundations.

Family Night Supper

Is a time of fun and fellowship and is generally held every quarter on a Wednesday night at 7:00pm. It is sponsored by the Women in the Church. The groups are responsible for setting up and cleaning up and the groups rotate throughout the year. The dates for these meals are announced in the bulletin, on the monthly Prayer Calendar and during morning announcements.
